I did cringe a little when one of the single women bragged about buying a sports car, saying that it was "indulgent". I think that plays into stereotypes of singles (and the single life) as self-centered and lacking in responsibility. Of course, it's certainly possible that the Sydney Herald specifically chose to mention that because it fits with the stereotype. Great to see that these blogs are getting some media coverage.
