At least according to this post at Psychology Today… I think he’s disturbed and his social isolation might’ve been a symptom of that but, as usual, the correlation is turned into causality and we get single = wacko.

I’ve generally heard that he was unhappy with the Iraq war and afraid of getting PTSD. Haven’t really heard the single angle.

But then again I haven’t been listening that closely to the story.
